Cracking the GMAT, 2009 Edition, The Princeton Review
I used this book while studying for the GMAT test. It did a reasonable job in outlining what was going to be on the test, providing sample questions and tests that were representative of those on the test, and providing strategies for taking the quantitative and verbal portions of the test. Having said that, I believe that using quantitative-specific GMAT prep aids and more time would have resulted in a better quantitative score for me. I certainly can't complain about my performance on the essay portion of the GMAT (6/6, 87th percentile).

Watchmen, The Absolute Edition, DC Comics
I've been a fan of this comic ever since I was too cheap to collect it when I did collect others. After buying two of the normal trade editions of Watchmen over the years, I ask for and received this impressive edition of the comic for my birthday from my (somewhat) understanding wife.
This book is a beautiful coffee-table style book with what appears to be restored ink and details. I can't reiterate how much I like this book, it's amazing. Simply stunning.
